Dr. Jacqueline Torti
Dr. Jacqueline Torti is an assistant professor in the Department of Medicine at Western University, with a cross-appointment in anatomy and cell biology, and a scientist at the Centre for Education, Research and Innovation at the Schulich School of Medicine & Dentistry. An interdisciplinary scholar, she holds a PhD in Public Health Sciences from the University of Alberta, along with graduate training in Applied Health Sciences and Physical Education.
Her research explores health professions education, character-based leadership, professional identity, and interprofessional teamwork, with a particular focus on the psychosocial aspects of learning and practice environments. Jacqueline’s work examines how character influences leadership, well-being, collaboration, and patient care, and she is actively involved in designing and delivering character-based leadership programs for medical residents and physicians.
